How do Model Photography Holidays work?
Model Photography Holidays want to give you the best experience possible, the perfect blend of photography/modelling and a relaxing holiday. The first night we normally go for a meal and drinks so everyone can get to know each other & discuss our plans. The last night of the holiday is normally party night where we can enjoy and talk about what a great trip its been.
How many models are involved?
As best we can we match the amount of models to the photographers, our previous trip in 2023 had 4 models and for our European trips in 2024 we are looking at bringing 5 models. We want you all to get the maximum opportunities from our trips.
What is the Supporting Artiste Collection?
This collection is geared up for people wanting a career in the Supporting Artiste sector, we give you 1-2-1 coaching on how to submit the perfect application form and well as providing you a portfolio of images.
Do you hire models for your Holidays and Workshops?
There maybe an instance where we need to hire in another model depending on the amount of photographers signing up, if you’re interested please contact us with your online portfolio details.
Are you an agency?
We are NOT an agency but we do offer advice to help models and actors sign up to agencies.
How long do we shoot for?
Each individual photography holiday is different but on average we shoot for 5hrs per day normally broken down into two sessions, one in the morning and the other mid/late afternoon meaning we don’t work in peak sunshine hours.
How many photographs do the Models receive?
Models will receive up to 60 stylised edited photographs from Gavin Conlan.
Models will also receive photographs from the other photography delegates, delivery numbers are at the discretion of each individual photographer.
What do photographers receive for their money?
Photographers of all experience levels are welcome on our model photography holidays, you get the opportunity to work with 3/4 professional models (levels fashion to art nude).
Do you do UK portrait shoots?
Yes we do, Gavin offers model shoots ranging from full day to 1 .5hrs depending on your requirements, we will also be running UK Workshops. Please see our price list and you can enquire about Gavin’s availability through our contact page.
How much does it cost to reserve my place on one of your European Holidays and UK Workshops?
To reserve your place on one of our European Model Photography Holidays the non-refundable booking fee of £500 is to be paid via BACS or Paypal, the remainder of the balance which will be paid at the designated date on your contract.
To reserve your place on one of our UK Model Workshops the non-refundable booking fee of 50% and is to be paid via BACS or Paypal and then the remainder of the balance is due 7 days before the date of the UK Workshop.
What is included in the MPH fee?
Included in the model photography holiday fee is your accommodation, airport transfers, model, photographer and location fees, so locations will include car hire.
What isn’t included in the MPH fee?
You need to book your own flights (MPH will recommend the best one for you), if you book a different flight then you’ll need to book your own airport transfer at an additional cost.
Food, drinks, any additional model fees and photography/post production training outside of the designated working hours.
How do I book a place on your European Holidays?
Firstly you to contact us through our contact page stating you wish to book your place. You will then receive a booking form via email. Once you’ve completed the booking form and email it to us your contract will be created and emailed to you for signing. Once your contract has been signed, returned to us and your non-refundable booking fee is paid then and only then your place on the trip is confirmed.
What Airport do you fly from?
We are based in North Essex so we recommend that we all fly from London Stansted, however you are welcome to fly from other airports if London Stansted isn’t local to you.
Professional Models chosen for our trips, what is covered?
If you're chosen to model on one of our Model Photography Holidays and you’re happy with our terms and conditions then you’ll have all your travel and accommodation expenses covered which includes flights (incl. 20 kilo bag), travel from airport to Villa and Villa to airport and your villa accommodation covered. We will also cover an initial shop for waters, breakfast bits and snacks. Modelling on our trips is on time for print basis as you’ll receive professionally edited photographs from Gavin (Model Photography Holidays) and a selection of photographs from our photographers attending our trip. There will be plenty of downtime throughout the trip as we only shoot for approx 5hrs per day. We love to make our trips as relaxed as possible but still professional at all times. You will need to bring your own spending money.
